Thank you for your interest in the Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium, which will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
The Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium (GCURS) is a forum for undergraduate researchers to present original research discoveries. Hosted by Rice University in Houston, individual presentations use a 10-12 minute PowerPoint format rather than the more common poster session. An additional 2-3 minutes will be allotted for a question-and-answer period.
GCURS fosters intercollegiate interactions among students and faculty who share a passion for undergraduate research. We expect several hundred speakers from around the country. The event also offers a friendly and supportive environment for students to give a formal research presentation, and faculty will provide written constructive feedback.
Sessions are available in the following fields:
Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Chemistry and Nano/materials
Civil and Environmental Engineering
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Physics and Astronomy (registration closed)
Systems, Synthetic, and Physical Biology
If you would like to participate please submit your registration below. The registration deadline has been extended to October 2, 2016.
