The Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium (GCURS) is an annual event that brings undergraduate researchers to Rice each fall.
Undergraduate researchers give individual, formal oral presentations to an audience composed of Rice faculty, faculty from other colleges and universities, and other members of the community. Each division concludes with a keynote address given by a Rice faculty member.
GCURS is a great opportunity for undergraduate researchers to gain presentation experience and to meet peers at other institutions.
Each division includes breakfast, lunch, a keynote address given by a Rice professor, followed by an interdisciplinary networking dinner. Limited sponsored housing is available.
